i am a visual artist, working in a variety of media.
charcoal & conte drawings combining gestural abstraction
with figures & symbols.
untrammeled line, invented icons & archetypes, imagined creatures
& objects, & other improvised discoveries & improbable prototypes.
action scans (digital art) scanned movements performed
in an 8x12 frame during 45 seconds. this digital eye records spacetime;
exploring perceptions of time, notions of self, & the inherent symbolism
of the body & simple objects.
collage, painting, photography, music (percussion), occasional delirious
poetry, festival/ theatre production, zen-mad pseudo-science, & other
aesthetic & cognitive experiments.
i am a York Graduate, with a BFA in Visual Arts, Studio practice.
